Our purpose is to:

To promote and foster the Irish culture in Lancaster County and elsewhere
To perpetuate the history of Ireland and its people
To encourage friendship, loyalty and kinship among those people of Lancaster County interested in Irish culture, traditions and history
To promote civic participation within the Lancaster County community through works of charity

Celtic Music Festival	Sep 26	Lancaster Irish
Celtic Music Festival presented by the Susquehanna Folk Music Society on Sunday September 26, 2010. A Celtic Fiddle Session open to local musicians will be held from 2:30-4:00pm followed by the concert at 4:00pm. Fiddlers Kevin Burke (Ireland), Christian Lemaitre (France) and Andre Brunet (Quebec) with guitarist Nicolas Quemener will perform traditional celtic music from different Celtic cultures. The Lancaster Irish American Cultural Society General Meeting will be held on Sunday September 12, 2010 at 1:30pm at Annie Bailey's Irish Pub (2nd floor). Dr. Matt Patterson will give a presentation updating the excavation results at the Duffy's Cut Project in Malvern, PA. Meeting is open to the public. McLain Celtic Festival	Sep 4	Lancaster Irish
McLain Celtic Festival - sponsored by the Cumberland County Historical Society will be held on Saturday, September 4, 2010 from 9:00-5:00 at the Two Mile House, 118 Walnut Bottom Road, Carlisle PA. The event will feature Irish/Scottish dancers, musicians, vendors, clan tents, athletic events, children's activities and so on. Membership in this organization will be open to any person interested in fostering and promoting Irish culture, traditions and history as well as participating in charitable work for the Lancaster County community.
